POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are a small accounting team, and we pride ourselves on getting timely and accurate financials to management without having to work late hours and never on the weekends. This position will be highly engaged in day-to-day financial operations, the month end close process, special projects and be a fundamental accounting position at the business unit.
An ideal candidate should have a sense of urgency and be detail oriented. A desire to learn, take ownership and improve processes will be crucial for this position. We need a detail oriented, critical thinker with strong organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize and execute.
This is a full-time position that supports operations, which must be done in person 5 days a week in the office at 14000 W. 44th Ave | Golden, CO 80403.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable
- Manage approval process for processing invoices from purchase to payment.
- Verify and enter invoices into the accounting system; match with purchase orders and receiving reports.
- Payment processing of checks and EFTs ensuring timely disbursements.
- Assist with credit card transactions, expense reports, reimbursements, etc.
- Tracking vendors, vendor schedule and frequent vendor invoices.
General Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and post to general ledger.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and logistics reporting.
- Perform reconciliations, analytics and ensure accuracy of transactions.
Accounts Receivable
- Maintain Coach Manager “CM” – AR subledger.
- Deposit and record payments from customers.
- Manage AR aging schedule and communicate amongst departments.
- Assist in accounting and sales with collection of dues from customers.
Payroll Processing
- Assist processing biweekly and weekly payroll.
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities determined by Accounting Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience with an ERP software, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player who leads by example.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task, with time-sensitive deadlines.
